As a prior owner and user, I understand the power of multiple WebOS.

  It really blows everything else out of the water at the speed of getting things done.

  The iPhone feels like walking on quicksand after that.

Pixi expected to be slower than the Pre.

  It is not. For some things are faster. Vortex word on both devices feel exactly the same. This is an extremely lightweight and compact smartphone.

  It’s great in the hand and the keyboard is one of the best I’ve used in recent years.
The camera on the Pixi is better than Centro and about equal to many mobile phones.

  The dispute resolution (2 vs 3 MP) means nothing to me.

  The issue is with the light sensitivity of the sensor.

  The Pre is much better. From my home location is just across the boundaries of good data Sprint, WiFi is a requirement.

If I was always in a good coverage of data should be hard pressed not to choose the Pixi during pro.

  It’s a cool phone. We’ll get more features for under $ 30.

In my family we have 2 phones WebOS. I have before and my son is Pixi.

  As a result, I was able to make some videos comparing the relative performance of these devices. Here is a link to a playlist of customers:

What I found when comparing the two devices is that they generally provide similar performance, despite several other reviewers who claim the Pixi is slower than the Pre.

If I had not before, I would have to think hard for a Pixi light performance. However, since I already have a Pre, it is difficult to live without Wifi and a camera that does not produce as nice images, such as Pre.

  So I will not change.

  But for the price, Pixi is a great first smartphone.

This phone combines a great size and feel with a great set of features.

Will break this review the advantages and disadvantages of Palm Pixi. Please note that this review is to compare the phone to all other phones are not a comparison between the Pre.

  These are people who want to know how the phone as a phone.

Pros
* Slim, sleek candy bar.
-The phone has a great look and feel.

  It is lightweight yet still feels strong and durable. Plus the back is rubberized handle with great in your hand or wherever you place.

* Software WebOS
-Multitasking, applications, synchronization with all your accounts , WebOS provides many features that make you question how you ever survived without it.

  The two really great features WebOS, multitasking and synchronization should be enough incentive to purchase only this phone. Being able to check my email, open a link from the e-mail in a new tab to proceed to shop online, then go to my window messages and chat with someone while listening Music is simply amazing. Plus having my contacts list is automatically updated via my Gmail contacts and Facebook is a huge help. I could go on and on, but I wont. WebOS is, the future of mobile operating systems.

* Keyboard QWERTY
-This is just a personal preference but I like keyboards qwerty. Having said that some boards qwerty is less than desired. This keyboard may seem small, but I have found very little on its use.

  The buttons are raised at the perfect height to get good separation between the actual phone and keys.

  They also have a comfortable feel to them, providing a very satisfying click when pressed. Nice layout and design, and certainly deserves the glory.

* Touch
-The touch screen is detailed, vivid, and above all, very responsive.

  The screen looks great and performs very well.

Multimedia *
-The phone allows you to sync with iTunes and download music.

  The music player is basic, but has very good performance.

  It also supports videos in mp4, and streaming sources such as Youtube.

* Other functions Smartphone
-This phone offers Web Browsing, Youtube, Amazon MP3 Store, the Sprint GPS Services, Palm Application List, and Sprint TV.

Disadvantages
* Plug USB Mini
-There is a write-protect the place where you connect the phone to charge, transfer data, etc. This flap is very difficult to open.

* boot up time
-It the phone takes several minutes to boot. This is slightly annoying if you activate the phone, because then you have to wait about 3 minutes to boot support.

* Minor Bugs
-There are some minor important errors with WebOS. With each update seems to make improvements, but errors persist. I noticed that there were cases where pair my phone is off even if I had not power down. When I boot support the battery life is fine do question what the deal is.

  Also, when watching the videos and get a text or phone call, the phone experiences a severe downturn and delay.

For performing the basic tasks phone that does very well. Call sound quality is good, not great but definitely good.

  Also, the clarity of the microphone is very good as well, no complaints when talking to other people.

  The phone speaker is loud enough but do not sacrifice quality at all.

  The battery life is quite sufficient in my opinion. With moderate use, many phone calls, text messages intermittently, and some web surfing, I found the battery life of the phone takes about two days.

I recommend it to anyone looking for a new phone and want to exit the market smartphone. This phone is sleek and offers some really awesome features.

  The Pixi has some flaws, but no phone is perfect, we all know that. Taking into account all the characteristics together with the price ($ 24. 99), this phone is simply unbeatable.

Palm smartphones I’ve had for at least the last 7 + years and I’ve liked everything so when it came time to upgrade my Sprint Palm Centro in November’09 went to Sprnt Palm Pixi. Here are my advantages / disadvantages of having used this phone for 3 months:

Advantages:
+ Form Factor: I got this phone because it is one smaller thinnest smartphones I’ve seen. I like to keep my phone in my front pocket and the lighter the better.

  After using for 3 months, the size is still great even though I really like was slightly taller to accommodate a slightly larger screen. I chose the more Pixi Pre mainly because I wanted a slider (inconvenience to slide in / out and the concerns of durability). I would also like a physical keyboard and the keyboard Pixi is terrible (even for fat fingers I).
+ WebOS Resources: I see great potential in this software. Easy to use, fun to use. Nice to run multiple applications. Of course we are still in early versions WebOS position and there are some things to improve so I expect to see that over time.

Disadvantages: />
-WebOS current reality: This is a first generation of WebOS and what it means to live with growing pains. Palm has issued software updates that are good, but some of the updates have reduced battery life and I also slowed my phone.

  Sometimes there are noticeable delays when you use the phone functions (ie, 5-10 seconds to open an application, etc.).

  There are so many downloadable apps compared to iPhone and Android and developers want to develop for larger users bases (to be fair I should note that no phone is perfect smarts even the iPhone and Android users are their gripes clients). Cloud Storage, I personally do not believe that web links are fast enough or reliable enough yet to keep everything on the cloud. . . When using a dictionary app does not want the app to search for the word on the internet (sometimes I’m on an airplane or in a poor coverage area, etc.). I think that over time WebOS can be adapted to be an amazing software platform. . . I just hope Palm has extra funds to invest in it and keep up with the likes of Juggernauts like Apple and Google (may be a likely scenario that another player buys Palm and invest more money in the ongoing WebOS). < br /> Name-Brand: Palm “Pixi”; As a red-blooded American male I almost did not buy the phone just because of the cowardly name. . .

  But eventually I brushed aside my pride and bought it because it took the form factor I liked the best. When my friends ask what kind of phone is just like to say that is the new Palm Pre-Mini.
-Other small details: No add-on memory card.

  It features video camera yet (expected in the future webOS upgrade). Reverse resistance. We really like the idea of changing back, but the support that came with my phone is already divided and escape after 3 months (I will buy a new one for $ 20).

Overall:
= I give this phone 4 stars (3 stars for the usability of current realities, 5 stars for the potential = average 4 stars). This technology is amazing my smartphone (gps location tools, etc.) and speed of development is impressive compared to my old smartphones before 5 years.

  It is scarey to see that smartphones will be in 25 years. . . We will only use the chip implantation. . . Or be absorbed into The Matrix!;

3/13/10 update: The recent os web 1. 4 software update to get out of my phone has significantly increased the speed of my phone. . . I do not have much longer lag when switching between functions.

  The 1. 4 added also features video camera and I found the vid works well. Battery life also seems to improve. Keep the palm improvements!

Got the Pixi by release date and still can not believe how great my experience so far in all respects (size, weight, battery life, briskness, to build the building, intuitiveness of the OS, call quality, speed network, keyboard, sexiness, ALL).

  So glad someone finally made one fully functional smartphone that is one huge monster, like the iPhone or TouchPro and Droid. I hope Palm keeps this form-factor continues to release future generations improved – will be a lifelong customer if so, because this device is really great. Sprint’s EVDO Rev A data network is extremely spirited and never used the WiFi on my previous smartphone (HTC TouchPro), so I do not mind the lack of WiFi on this device at all. Only minor complaint so far is that the charging / USB port cover takes 30 seconds to pry and then it is almost impossible to jam the cable in while holding it back.

  Also, which take me some time to figure out how to customize certain elements (springboard, ringtones, call rate). General criticism webOS pulling in too much contact is junk and that it would be nice to have a desktop PIM, but that’s about it. I never dreamed that it could have turned around their ship so dramatically, but I’m certainly glad they did. THANKS PALM !!!< br>
